
Introduction
- TTRPG MECHANICS: the goal is to create a more tactical game with some elements borrowed from board games to create tough player decisions. This will grant the players more agency over the outcome rather than just relying on a dice roll or the game master’s opinion. Introducing more mechanics can slow a game down, but the aim is a fast flowing deeply immersive game.
- WORLD-BUILDING: the games will be set in a traditional fantasy world inhabited by forest dwelling elves, dwarves living in underground halls and wild orcs alongside other fantasy tropes. Using a recognizable world gets the game focused on the actual plot rather than long setting backgrounds that need to be explained. Using tropes give confidence to the players to make correct assumptions about the setting and roleplay on these without constantly having to ask the GM how the setting works. With that said, the PCs will of course also encounter mysterious new races and uncharted locations that will be just as unknown to both PCs and players.
